The basic key is to make the area you want to shave as hot as you can stand. That makes the hair soft and easier to shave.

Let me tell you from experience. If you want to shave an area that you have never shaved before, don't just break out the razor and think everything will be fine. I had an ingrown hair that took a year to heal.

Start with an electric razor set on the longest setting. Do that and wait a few days. If you really want to be careful, rub a product called mane and tail on the area as often as possible for a few days.

Alcohol and shaving don't mix until you have trained your skin. Don't get drunk and think you are going to just have some fun.

If you are delicate, shave a little area on the edge of where you want to shave and wait a day or two. Examine the area closely. Look for any kind of skin irregularities. If everything looks good have fun. If not just wait and eat really healthy for a few days and drink good water. Not the plastic bottled stuff. Absolute 1 micron filtered water with compressed carbon or ceramic.

Just before the fall of the Roman Empire, they were fully engulfed in narsistic behavior. That included spas and shaving the entire body. I do that.

When I started shaving my legs, I knew better than to go into salt water for a few hours. It would sting. Now I can shave with salt water drunk with no problem. It's just a matter of training your body to do what you want it to do.

If you go to fast or too far too fast, there may be a price to pay that you will live with for the rest of your life.

Happy shaving and if you can let someone you trust hold the razor. It's a bonding experience.

Shaving cream is a scam. You might as well use dawn. I have played with a lot of things. Like oils. You would think that oil is the last thing you want to use shaving and it will clog up a razor fast. If you have sensitive skin, and a cup of boiling water, you can beat the clog problem. I highly recommend eucalyptus oil, but it's expensive. Try sunflower, safflower, or grape seed. You will never go wrong with extra virgin olive oil, if you don't mind smelling like a salad. That could be a good thing because maybe just maybe someone will want to eat you.

I'm still shaving my whole body and I did it today in the salty water off of the skyway bridge without so much as the tinest sting.

My new thing is to heat up water with the sun and shave in late afternoon in the sun. I can see better.

Am having a harder and harder time reaching my back. Time to try Nair. I hate putting chemicals on my body. I sure miss Barbara Ann

Always always always exfoliate before shaving to soften the hairs up! You can even make your language scrub with sugar and oil (I recommend coconut oil)
