I've always been one of those people who refuse to follow the flock and that's apparently a turn-off to some people, as a kid I was the guy with his nose in a book when everyone else were playing soccer, still don't understand that game.
My friends call me Retro because of my obsession with the 70s and it shows in my home, like the total lack of music CDs and the two posters every boy had on his wall in the 80s; Samantha Fox and the Countach.
You can say that I grew up in an extended family with lots of kids, we were taught that free thinking, nudity and sex shouldn't be taboos, not that everyone was naked 24/7 or had sex everywhere, but it was considered natural.
I was born in 1971, to a Danish hippie and an American escaping service in Southeast Asia, so I've always seen myself as half American, but have lived all my life in Denmark, I enlisted in the Royal Army after graduating high school.
The end of the Cold War saw an end to my plans for a military career too, suddenly I had no idea what I wanted to do and ended up doing a lot of stuff that I'll be warning my future children against doing, those were fun times indeed.
My family intervened and got me a place as apprentice with a photographer, which saw me ready to break out on my own just in time for Millennium Night and that's when the Norns once again interfered.
A near-fatal accident in '01 almost saw me in a wheelchair, the damage to my back was bad enough that I couldn't continue as photographer, but they do say that the universe provides and showed me the way into CGI art.
Okay, of cause it would be cool to make new friends too, but I'm mostly here because I still haven't met the girl of my dreams and I'm really missing her, to be honest I don't really care about all the Mickey Mouse stuff like age or looks.
I just want to find a nice girl who can live with the fact that I like Metal, watching Star Trek and build model aircraft, and the fact that a friend described me as being "Sons of Anarchy" on the outside and "Big Bang Theory" on the inside.
I do think of myself as a biker and dress like it, but I also call myself a Trekkie with pride, so my friend might not be that far off, I don't believe in Political Correctness and I have this bad habit of making up my own mind about things.
