So, I’ll try to be as to the point as possible. I stumbled on to something weird, not sure what the heck it is. If it is sextortion, it’s pretty spread out...

So I perused LeoList and found someone in the Dom/Fetish spot that was looking for a “sub” to own. The ad is still up. It said something along the lines of “I’m very financially stable, not looking for money, just a unique relationship”. It said she owned a medium sized interior decorating business. The English is okay, but definitely fishy. It had some pics, and she looked good and I have always been curious about this kind of thing, so I emailed her.

We have emailed back and forth maybe 7-8 times over the course of the past week, and it seems like she has these kind of generic replies, like she wouldn’t clearly answer all my questions. Anyhow, the last email she mentions that as her selected submissive or slave or whatever, I will have to purchase a “kit”. I reply to the effect of “what kit are you talking about”, and this is the full reply:

Dearest one,

Your kit will consist of the following items Gag and blindfold head harness, chastity device, liberator wedge, the impaler tower, bedroom restraint kit, strap on and titanium cuffs. The combined cost is $1850.00. In order to get the best I want you to purchase the kit from the store I always do all of my toys shopping. I trust their quality, discreet, efficiency and effectiveness. All the equipment's come in direct contact with your skin and bodily fluids and I will want to make sure they are all new. It can be delivered to you or my house.

It's a lot easier and convenient to keep the kit at my place. You will be making payment to the toy store rep via bank transfer or you do an etransfer to me and I'll order the kit immediately. I'll send you the invoice after the order has been placed for your confirmation. Let me know when you are ready to purchase and I'll place the order for the toys all you will need to do is make payment. I would want you to purchase the kit soon so the kit can be delivered before our first meeting. The kit come in different sizes. Send me your chest, waist and neck size.

I just replied “I don’t have that money, good luck in your search”. My question is: is this how sextortion begins? A couple notes: I have never sent any pictures, divulged very little personal info, and have never cammed or anything. It all just seems very scammy and fishy, and I’m a bit scared. I opened up pictures of her in the last email and got worried I downloaded some kind of bot that tracks my information and she could use this against me.

Sorry for the long winded post. I’m worried/scared/nervous. What are the chances I’m in some trouble here?

No worries, soon as you say no they move on. They may keep bothering you but you should end all communication and block them.

Just ignore scammers unless you're a scam baiter having a laugh. Spam the email into the junk filter
