One day during Oaks- Kentucky Derby I met a young man who said he was a homosexual when I was passing out Christian literature. A light but persistent rain was falling on an overcast day. He read aloud what I was holding. It said: “IF you were to die this minute, do you KNOW without any doubt that you would be in heaven?” He said, “No, I wouldn’t go. Those people down the street said God hates homosexuals. And that I was on my way to hell.” I stood there little stunned, as I heard a certain sound in his voice of concern and hurt, as he walked down the street. Then I found myself running after him. About 75 yards down, I was saying. “Sir, sir” toward the young man. He turned back to look at me with a surprised look on his face. Then I said. “ God loves you. God loves you, sir.” Church may make it hard, or the priest or the minister, but God has made it easy for you to come to Him. All you need do is be able to pray a prayer like this one on the back of this Big Question tract: Heavenly Father, I know You love me. You have a wonderful plan for my life. But my sin keeps me from God, His love and His plan. Worse sin earns me eternal death in the lake of fire. I repent and give up my life of sin. Please forgive me of my sins. I ask Jesus to come into my life. I now receive Jesus Christ into my heart and life, as my Savior and Only Lord. I receive God’s forgivness, cleansing and deliverance. I am a child of God. God cares for you so much that HE allowed Jesus Christ to die a cruel, humiliating, excruciating, painful death on the cross to pay for your sin and mine.
