A Chance Encounter

It was a perfect summer evening
There is a slight haze on the horizon
It's an evening that takes me back to my youth
We seemed to get a lot more of them back then
It was then that l noticed her
She was just sat there with a smile on her face
And a glass of red wine in her hand
Her fingers tapped a melody on the stem
And l felt my heart start dancing to the tune
I smiled and locked my gaze on her
She smiled back in that moment a thousand
Words passed between us without one being spoken
She got up and swayed slowly towards me
And as she passed her fingers gently brushed my neck
It sent a tingling all the way down my spine
Waves were crashing against the rocks in my ears
I gazed lovingly at her departing form
As she got into her car and drove silently away
Giving me one last wave and a smile as she did so
Who was that mysterious woman who affected me so
I have know idea but I'm glad l had this
